FESI General Assembly The General Assembly meets at least once every two years, in principle within the first six months of even years. The General Assembly:
- makes decisions on the questions appearing on the agenda and on the propositions presented within the required time and communicated to the secretariat,
- examines the report on activities presented by the President and the biennial financial report presented by the Treasurer,
- approves of the activities of the Direction Committee for the last two years,
- adopts the budget, fixes the fees of members for the next two years,
- designates the members of the Direction Committee and the members of the Budget Commission,
- issues a statement on:
- the admission of new members
– the exclusion of members – the amendment of the statutes – dissolution.
FESI Spring Meeting Regular meeting of FESI committees. FESI Autumn Meeting Regular meeting of FESI committees. FESI Apprentice Championship Every two years the competition is organised in one of the FESI member countries. (Preferably in the same period as the FESI General Assembly). The apprentice championship has the following goals: - To promote high standards and quality in insulation and cladding work.
- Providing recognition of the quality of the craftsmanship of the competitors.
- Award the best national apprentice by allowing him to participate in the European Apprentice Championship.
- Test the capabilities of the competitors in insulation and cladding work.
- To encourage and intensify the contacts between the competitors in order to get to know each other better and to learn about methods and working procedures from each other.
- To work together and create mutual understanding and friendship among the competitors.
WIACO - World Insulation and Acoustic Congress The WIACO is organised every four years alternatively by FESI in Europe or NIA in the USA. To discuss and exchange ideas on matters related to thermal and acoustic insulation. In 2012 FESI will host the next WIACO in Paris. FESI will also be holding its spring meeting during the WIACO meeting. Representatives from 20 or more countries are expected to attend.
